NEET UG, JEE Main & CUET Photo and Signature Size

The National Testing Agency (NTA) uses the same image rules across NEET UG, JEE Main and CUET. The tool below is set to the NTA photograph; pick “NTA: Signature” for the signature.

What does the form ask for?

Or paste the rules from your notification

For example: “Signature: 140 x 60 pixels, file size 10 KB to 20 KB, JPG”. Paste one document at a time.

Upload rules

You will get a 350 × 450 pixel JPG of 10–200 KB. The form has no fixed pixel size, so we use a good default. You can change it.We aim for 10,240 to 200,000 bytes. This passes whether the form counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.

Add your photograph

Your image stays on this device. It is never uploaded.

Already have a file? Check it before you upload

See if your file follows the rules above before you upload it. Most forms don’t tell you what is wrong.

NTA upload sizes

  • Passport-size photograph: 10 KB to 200 KB, JPG. Colour, with a white background and about 80% of the photo showing the face, including both ears.
  • Signature: 4 KB to 30 KB, JPG. Signed with a black pen on white paper.

NTA does not fix the pixel size, so the tool uses 350 × 450 pixels for the photo, which matches the 3.5 × 4.5 cm passport ratio. Some NTA exams, such as NEET UG, have also asked for a postcard size photo and scans of finger and thumb impressions. Follow the information bulletin for your exam.

Photo tips for NTA forms

  • Face the camera directly with a neutral expression. Ears should be visible.
  • Use a white background and even light. Avoid shadows behind your head.
  • No cap, sunglasses or mask. Normal glasses are allowed if the eyes are clear.
  • Keep a few prints of the same photo. NTA exams often ask you to paste the same photo on the admit card or attendance sheet.
