How to resize your signature
- Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and take a photo in daylight, holding the phone straight above the page.
- Add the photo to the tool. It is set to “Any form: Signature under 20 KB”. Type your form’s width, height and minimum KB if it gives them.
- Keep “Clean up the paper” on. It turns grey or yellow paper white and makes the ink darker, like a scan.
- Zoom and drag so the signature fills the box with a little white space around it, then download.
Signature sizes for common exams
IBPS and SBI: 140 × 60 pixels, 10–20 KB. UPSC: three signatures one below the other, 350 × 350 to 500 × 500 pixels, 20–100 KB. NTA (JEE Main, NEET UG, CUET): 4–30 KB. Always compare with your own notification, since rules change between years.
Why signatures get rejected
- Signed in capital letters. IBPS, SBI and many other bodies do not accept a signature in block capitals.
- Too faint. Blue ballpoint on grey paper can almost disappear after compression. Use a black pen and keep clean-up on.
- Too small in KB. A signature is mostly white, so files often come out under the 10 KB minimum. The tool pads the file to reach the minimum without changing the image.
- Signature does not match. The signature you upload must match the one you make at the exam centre, so use your normal signature.
Questions
How do I resize my signature to 140 × 60 pixels?
Type 140 in width and 60 in height (or choose “IBPS & SBI: Signature” in the list), add the photo of your signature and fit it into the frame. The download is exactly 140 × 60 pixels.
Can I make my signature background white?
Yes. “Clean up the paper” makes the paper white and the ink darker. It works best with a black pen on plain paper photographed in daylight.
Can I draw my signature on the screen instead?
Not in this tool, and most exam bodies want a signature written on paper with a pen and then scanned or photographed.
